OUR HISTORY

EMPOWERING QUARRY COMMUNITY CHILDREN

In 2004, the vision of change took shape as Bangalore City Mission was founded by the inspiring Mr. D. K. Paul Raj and his family. Our noble mission was to illuminate the lives of the children in the quarry community, a place where dreams seemed distant and opportunities were scarce. Initially, we started with the school and we were able to provide literacy to the children who would have otherwise been a victim of child labor.

FROM EDUCATION-CENTRIC TO HOLISTIC IMPACT

By 2015, over the course of time, it developed into five pillar program expanding our services. While education was our main focus, we saw the development of the community was crucial in building a society free of inequalities. Thus, we started working on education, women empowerment, health care, child care, and community development.
